Last weekend we took a little vacation to San Diego. We had been planning it for a long time and it was finally here. We had such a great time. The weather wasn't the best beach weather but we still had fun. Ji, Haley, and Ellie were able to come with us too so that made the trip even better. We decided to cut our driving time a little so we drove to Mesquite and stayed there Tuesday night. Yes, we only saved about 45 minutes but when you are driving 7 hours, 6 hours and 15 minutes sounds lots better. Of course we had to stop at Bass Pro Shop in Vegas to wander around for Dust and Ji. We finally got to San Diego Wednesday afternoon. Thanks to Dust's dad we had a great place to stay at right by the beach.
On Thursday, we were able to go to the San Diego Temple with Capri and Tyson and watch them be sealed together as an eternal family. It was such a neat day. I'm glad we were able to be there and support them on such a special day. We are so proud of them and so grateful for their friendships.
After the temple we went to Old Town San Diego. Here we had some great Mexican food and walked through a few shops. We didn't spend too long there because Ellie was dying to go swimming in the hotel pool.
Friday we spent the day at Sea World. Dust had never been before and it has been about 10 years since I have so we thought it would be something fun to do. We saw all the fun shows like Shamu, the dolphins, and the sea otters. I don't think you are ever to old for these types of things.
Saturday we had planned to spend the day at the beach but like I mentioned before the weather wasn't the best. So we decided to go shopping and eat lunch and see if they weather got better later in the day. Right by the shopping mall we went to was the coolest flower fields I've ever seen. They were so beautiful.

The weather never did really get better but I was not going to leave San Diego without playing at the beach. Dust, Ji, and I did play in the water for a while but it was a good thing we could go get in the hot tub after to warm up.
Overall, we had a great trip. I think it was a much needed vacation for all of us.

Oh Kadee I sure do miss you!! I am so glad you posted pictures of pri and Tyson's big day. I keep looking at everyone's blogs to see pictures cause I was sad I couldn't be there!! You guys looked like you had a great time!!! Hope to see you guys soon!!!
